Welcome to Tartan Girls Badminton!

Whether you’re a prospective player, parent, or supporter, we’re so glad you’re here. This will be the primary platform for general announcements, event/game details, and scores! We’re so excited for the 2024 season, and hope to see you soon!

The team is open to any athlete interested in playing girls badminton at the high school level, from novice to experienced player. Our goal is to provide girls at Tartan access to competitive badminton. We also aim to develop student athletes who value perseverance, achievement, sportsmanship, and teamwork.  

We will have our first practice on Monday March 4, 2024. Practices go from 3:00-5:00 pm most days. You can add the Google Calendar with all the events, games, and practice schedules by clicking here.



Registration

Players can complete registration online using the Affinity Sports Portal below:

All athletes need a current copy of their sports physicals in the office before they can participate. Physicals are good three years from the date of the last physical. To receive clearance to begin practice, an athlete MUST have all forms completed, a physical on file and fee. If any of these are missing, the athlete will NOT be able to begin practice.

If you have not already completed and submitted this form, you can find it outside the activities office. You can fax it to 651-702-8651, email it to ptroendle@isd622.org, or drop off a hard copy of the physical at the Athletic Office. There is a registration fee of $145.00.



Equipment

Rackets and racket bags will be provided. Players will need the following equipment to participate:

- Non-marking Indoor Court Shoes

- Athletic Wear

Players may use their own rackets if preferred. Badminton shoes are preferred, but any type of indoor court shoe will also work(eg. volleyball shoes). Players not in proper attire will not be allowed to participate.
